On top of a hill in the heart of Tuscany, every road leads to something extraordinary: Siena is 30 minutes west, Cortona 45 minutes east, Florence an hour north.

When the city crowds have tired you out, you can return here, 500 m (1,600 ft) above sea level, to a small, out-of-time medieval hamlet of no more than a dozen centenarians, where the cool breeze and golden light make the Tuscan sunshine perfect and authentic Dolce Vita awaits.

Borgo Rapale is located in the heart of Chianti, where vineyards and family-run wine cellars open their doors for exclusive tastings. Right next to Borgo Rapale, in the countryside that produces the best Florentine steak, more than ten restaurants are within a 10-minute drive, serving authentic, non-touristy flavours handed down from generation to generation. The recently renovated natural hot springs of Rapolano, with beauty treatments and thermal pools, are only 20 minutes away.

Culture, food and tranquillity: this is Borgo Rapale in a nutshell.

The price includes: taxes (tourist tax excluded), cots, final cleaning, weekly change of bed, bathroom and kitchen linen.

Free use of Wi-Fi, barbecue (including firewood), electricity, gas (excluding heating), swimming pool, covered parking, satellite TV and wall safe.
