Houseboat Heeg by the Water | 4 guests

Step aboard and let the tranquility of the Frisian waterways wash over you

Moored in the picturesque marina of Heeg, this stylish houseboat puts you right at the water's edge. It offers a rare blend of refined comfort and the truly special experience of sleeping on the water. From the bright living room with its large windows, you look straight out over the marina, where boats rock gently and the Frisian landscape unfolds in peaceful silence. Inside and outside feel like one, keeping you close to the water from morning until night.

Start your day on your own waterside terrace with a freshly brewed coffee as the marina slowly comes to life. On warmer days, a refreshing swim is just a step away. The grassy area along the water's edge has a picnic table, a wonderful spot for a leisurely outdoor dinner or an evening drink in the setting sun. The lively village centre of Heeg is just a five-minute stroll away.

Your luxury home on the water

Step inside and feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere straight away. The living and dining area offers beautiful views over the marina and comes with a Smart TV for those moments when you want to relax indoors. The fully equipped kitchen has two electric hobs, a fridge with freezer compartment, a kettle and a Nespresso machine for the perfect start to your day.

The houseboat sleeps up to four people across two bedrooms: a master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The beds are made up on arrival and bed linen and towels are included, so you can relax from the moment you arrive. The modern bathroom has a shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer. Free wifi is available throughout, making it easy to share your holiday photos or plan your next day out.

Underfloor heating makes the houseboat a wonderful retreat even during the cooler months. Parking is free within easy walking distance and pets are very welcome, so the whole family can enjoy this exceptional waterside stay.

Watersports and adventure right outside

The houseboat is a perfect base for anyone who wants to get out on the water. From the marina, you can easily hire a sailing boat, electric tender, lounge boat, SUP board, canoe or kayak. Cast a line from your own terrace or explore the surrounding waterways at your own pace. Heeg is one of Friesland's most beloved sailing villages and has everything you need for an active or wonderfully relaxed water holiday.

Discover Heeg and the surrounding area

Heeg is a lively sailing village in the heart of Friesland, surrounded by wide lakes and polders that make this region so unique. The village itself has a warm, welcoming character with cosy restaurants, terraces and shops all within walking distance. For day trips, the historic Frisian towns and villages are ideal: Sneek is just around the corner, while Sloten, Workum, Stavoren, Woudsend and Langweer are all easily reached by bike, boat or car. The surrounding area offers beautiful walking and cycling routes along lakes, canals and through the open Frisian countryside. Whether you choose an active day on the water, a cultural outing or simply soaking up the peace and space, Heeg and Friesland have something for everyone.

Good to know

The houseboat offers all the charm of staying on the water, but remains moored at a fixed berth during your stay. Since you are right at the water's edge and can easily reach the water from the terrace, we recommend that children are able to swim confidently.

EXTRA INFORMATION! You can also moor here with your own sloop provided the maximum width is 2.50 (then it will fit alongside the Houseboat).
