Teknomaja is a traditional log cabin built in 1978, located in a peaceful spot along the Äkäsjoki River, known for its excellent fishing waters. The cabin is just over 5 km from the services of Äkäslompolo village. The Ylläs Ski Resort is also nearby, less than 10 km away. The parking area of the Velhon Kota café is a short distance away, only about 1 km.

This atmospheric cabin combines nostalgic charm with modern comfort – the kitchen was renovated in 2024, and the cabin has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The cabin is also equipped with fiber optic internet and Wi-Fi, ensuring a fast and reliable connection. The cozy open-plan kitchen and living area invite you to relax: the dining area has seating for six people, and the living room’s sofa set offers a comfortable spot to rest by the heat-storing fireplace while enjoying the forest views. You may even spot reindeer wandering through the area.

Sleeping arrangements: The cabin has three sleeping alcoves, each with a bunk bed. In two alcoves, the lower beds are 120 cm wide, and the upper beds are 80 cm wide. In the third alcove, the lower bed is 160 cm wide, and the upper bed is 80 cm wide. The upper beds are accessible via wall-mounted ladders. Each alcove also has its own wardrobe.

The cabin also features an electric sauna, a shower, and a separate WC. The bathroom includes a washing machine. Pets are allowed in the cabin. An additional fee is charged per pet.

Firewood is limited to three baskets per stay.

There is a locked storage area by the side of the cabin for storing skis.
