Houseboat Uitgeest with Air Conditioning | 4 guests

Staying on the water, with Amsterdam just around the corner and nature as your backyard

Imagine stepping on board, putting down your bags and gazing out over the still Uitgeestermeer while the rest of the world feels far away. This stylish houseboat occupies one of the finest spots on the outer jetty of Jachthaven Uitgeest, combining luxury comfort with the unique experience of sleeping on the water. In the evenings you drift off to the gentle rhythm of the water, and in the mornings you wake up to an unobstructed view over the lake. Every day starts well here.

The location is ideal: you stay in the heart of North Holland's nature, while Amsterdam is only 25 minutes away by car and easily reachable by train as well. The North Sea beaches are also close by, making it effortless to combine a day in the city with a relaxed afternoon at the seaside. And perhaps you will find you do not want to leave at all, because your own private deck at the water's edge is a wonderful place to be.

Your luxury home base on the water

Inside, the houseboat is warm, bright and stylishly furnished. The comfortable seating area invites you to unwind, and the dining area offers a perfect setting for enjoyable meals with a view of the lake. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment, small oven, kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine for that perfect start to the day.

The houseboat sleeps up to four people across two bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with comfortable single beds and the second bedroom has a bunk bed, ideal for children or extra guests. The beds are made up on arrival and bed linen is included, so you can start relaxing straight away. The modern bathroom has a shower, washbasin, toilet and hairdryer.

Thanks to the air conditioning and heating, you can stay here in comfort throughout the year. Whether you come for a summer holiday on the water or a quiet winter weekend away, the houseboat always feels like a warm and inviting home. Free wifi and a Smart TV ensure you have everything you need. Parking is free at the nearby car park, and pets are very welcome.

Outdoor living on your own deck terrace

The private deck terrace sits almost at water level and feels like a natural extension of the living area. Have breakfast outside as the marina slowly comes to life, read a book in the afternoon sun or end the day with a glass of wine while the last lights of the harbour reflect in the water. The terrace has outdoor furniture and offers an open, unobstructed view over the Uitgeestermeer.

Jachthaven Uitgeest: water, nature and relaxation

Jachthaven Uitgeest is situated directly on the beautiful Alkmaarder- and Uitgeestermeer, one of the finest water sports areas in North Holland. Your holiday begins the moment you arrive. Step aboard a hired motor boat, lounge boat, SUP, canoe, kayak or sailing boat and explore the vast lakes from the water. Prefer to discover the area in a different way? Hire a bike, e-chopper or fatbike and enjoy the finest routes through green polders, past characteristic windmills and charming villages. Arriving by your own boat? Complete your stay by booking a berth in the marina, so your boat is always within reach.

After a day full of adventure, you return to the peace of the water. Enjoy a drink on a terrace overlooking the lake or relax at your accommodation while boats drift slowly past. This is the real holiday feeling, in every season.

Discover the diverse surroundings

There is plenty to enjoy beyond the marina as well. Within walking distance you will find the lively centre of Uitgeest with restaurants, terraces and shops. Fancy a day at the beach? The shores of Castricum aan Zee, Bakkum and Wijk aan Zee are just twenty minutes away. Historic towns such as Alkmaar and Haarlem are nearby, and Amsterdam is reachable within approximately 25 minutes for a day of culture, canals, shopping or culinary highlights.

The surroundings invite you to get out and explore. Walk through the Uitgeesterbroek nature reserve, cycle along the forts of the Defence Line of Amsterdam or visit the Zaanse Schans and Huis van Hilde. Families will find plenty to enjoy too, with playgrounds, swimming spots, a climbing forest, museums and other great outings for all ages. Whether you are looking for an active holiday, a relaxing weekend or an enjoyable family break, Jachthaven Uitgeest is the perfect base for discovering North Holland at its finest.

Good to know

The houseboat offers all the charm of a stay on the water, but remains at a fixed mooring during your visit. As you are staying directly on the water and the deck is easily accessible from the terrace, we recommend that children hold a swimming certificate.

EXTRA INFORMATION! You can also moor here with your own sloop provided the maximum width is 2.50 (then it will fit alongside the Houseboat).
