Houseboat Uitgeest with Rooftop Terrace | 4 guests

A unique stay on the water, with your own rooftop terrace and unobstructed views over the Uitgeestermeer

Moored in the charming marina of Uitgeest, this stylish houseboat is the ideal base for a stay close to Amsterdam. By car you are in the city in around 25 minutes, and thanks to the excellent train connection you can also travel easily to the centre by public transport. The North Sea beaches are also within easy reach, making it effortless to combine a day in the city with a relaxing afternoon by the sea.

Back on board you immediately feel the calm of the water. From the bright living area you look out over the marina, while the gentle rocking of the houseboat puts you in a holiday mood straight away. Inside and outside flow seamlessly into one another, so you are surrounded by peace, space and nature all day long, a world away from the buzz of Amsterdam.

This houseboat is the perfect base for anyone who wants the best of both worlds: the tranquillity of the water and the vibrancy of Noord-Holland right on your doorstep. Whether you come for an active weekend of watersports, a relaxed city trip to Amsterdam or simply to unwind on the water, you will feel at home here immediately.

Your own vantage point above the water

The undisputed highlight of this houseboat is the spacious rooftop terrace, accessible via an external staircase. From up here you enjoy a wide, unobstructed view over the marina and the Uitgeestermeer. Start the day with a fresh Nespresso coffee as the sun rises over the water, or end the evening with a glass of wine as the lake slowly settles into silence. In addition to the rooftop terrace, the houseboat also has a deck terrace at almost water level, the perfect spot to sit close to the water and soak up the peace around you.

A luxury home on the water

Step inside and feel the warm, inviting atmosphere immediately. The cosy living room with seating area and dining table offers a wonderful view over the marina and is equipped with a Smart TV for those moments when you want to relax indoors. The fully equipped open kitchen features a four-burner induction hob, a fridge with freezer compartment, a kettle, a small oven and a Nespresso coffee machine for a perfect start to the day.

The houseboat sleeps a maximum of four people, spread across two bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with two comfortable single beds and the second bedroom has a fold-out bed for two people. The beds are made up on arrival and bed linen is included, so you can start enjoying yourself straight away. The modern bathroom has a shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer. Free wifi is available and pets are very welcome, so the whole group can enjoy this special water holiday.

Thanks to the heating, the houseboat is also a wonderful place to unwind in autumn and winter. The cosy feeling of being inside while the water gently laps outside makes a stay here special in every season.

Marina Uitgeest: water, nature and relaxation

Marina Uitgeest is situated right on the beautiful Alkmaarder- and Uitgeestermeer, one of the finest watersports areas in Noord-Holland. Your holiday begins the moment you arrive. Step aboard a hired motorboat, lounge boat, SUP, canoe, kayak or sailing boat and explore the vast lakes from the water. Prefer to discover the surroundings in a different way? Hire a bicycle, e-chopper or fat bike and enjoy the most beautiful routes through green polders, past characteristic windmills and charming villages. Coming by your own boat? Complete your stay by booking a mooring in the marina, so your boat is always close at hand.

After a day full of adventure, you return to the peace of the water. Enjoy a drink on a terrace overlooking the lake or relax at your accommodation while boats slowly drift past. This is where you experience the true feeling of a holiday, every season again.

Discover the versatile surroundings

There is plenty to experience beyond the marina too. Within walking distance you will find the pleasant centre of Uitgeest with restaurants, terraces and shops. Fancy a day at the beach? The beaches of Castricum aan Zee, Bakkum and Wijk aan Zee are just twenty minutes away by car. Historic cities such as Alkmaar and Haarlem are nearby, and Amsterdam is also reachable within around 25 minutes for a day full of culture, canals, shopping or culinary highlights.

The surroundings invite you to get out and explore. Walk through the Uitgeesterbroek nature reserve, cycle along the forts of the Defence Line of Amsterdam or visit the Zaanse Schans and Huis van Hilde. For families there is also plenty of fun with playgrounds, swimming spots, a climbing forest, museums and other great outings for young and old. Whether you choose an active holiday, a relaxed weekend or an enjoyable family break, Marina Uitgeest is the ideal base for discovering Noord-Holland at its finest.

Good to know

The houseboat offers all the charm of a stay on the water, but remains in a fixed berth during your stay. Because you are staying directly on the water and the water is easily accessible from the terrace, we recommend that children are able to swim confidently.

EXTRA INFORMATION! You can also moor here with your own sloop provided the maximum width is 2.50 (then it will fit alongside the Houseboat).
