This charming log cabin is located directly on the shore of L. Ruokojärvi/Ruokovirta, part of Finland’s extensive Saimaa lake system. The vacation home enjoys a peaceful waterfront setting, while the main boating route runs directly in front of the house. The log cabin was built in 1984 and completely renovated in 2002. Its combination of authentic wooden character and practical amenities makes it a comfortable base for a relaxing vacation in the Finnish countryside.
Layout & Comfort
The log cabin features a cozy living/dining room with kitchen. There are two bedrooms, each furnished with two beds, providing sleeping space for up to four people.
The house also has a utility room and a sauna. After a day on the water or exploring the surrounding nature, you can unwind here in comfort. The open veranda is a pleasant place to sit outdoors and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The log cabin is just 25 meters from L. Ruokojärvi/Ruokovirta, a body of water approximately 5 km long and 100 meters wide that forms part of the Saimaa lake system. The water is shallow with a firm sandy bottom. On the opposite side, the shore is approximately 200 meters away from the vacation home.
The main boating route runs directly in front of the log cabin. A private boat is available, allowing you to easily explore the many waterways and lakes in the surrounding area.
Savonlinna is approximately 75 km away. The peaceful setting and direct access to the water make this accommodation particularly suitable for a relaxing stay surrounded by Finnish nature.
