About the resort
Recreatiepark het Esmeer is located in picturesque Aalst, on the border of Gelderland and North Brabant. The holiday park is situated like a peninsula between the Esmeer and the Meuse, making it perfect not just for hikers or cyclists, but also for water sports enthusiasts. Various facilities can be found in and around the holiday park, including playing and sports fields, a large recreational lake with a sandy beach and a large playground, a cozy restaurant, a bread service, WiFi, a launderette, a snack bar, and a bar. Furthermore, you can also rent (electric) bicycles to explore the picturesque surroundings.
The vacation park is surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, such as the enchanting Meuse River, recreational area the Neswaarden, and the mightily impressive De Biesbosch National Park. Please make sure to explore the picturesque villages in the area as well, or visit the pleasant city of Den Bosch. Whatever your day brings, Recreatiepark het Esmeer is always a great place to come home to.
About the surroundings
Holiday park het Esmeer is located in an area with lots of water, in the forests of Gelderland, near Aalst and also close to Zaltbommel. The area offers both a rich history and marvellous nature reserves. That's why both nature and culture enthusiasts won't have to be bored for a moment here. Enjoy a day of sailing, paddleboarding, surfing or swimming at recreational lake het Esmeer. Discover the beautiful rural surroundings on foot or by bike or enjoy a day of sightseeing in one of the picturesque surrounding villages. There is also plenty to do in the area near Aalst. Visit one of the nice villages, visit Zaltbommel or one of the many museums, zoos, amusement parks or indoor and outdoor playgrounds in the area. In collaboration with Ticketsplus, the park offers many nice day trips in the area. You can buy tickets for many nice day trips at the park reception.

Het terrasmeubilair. Er is een mooie voorzienkng van ligbed, stoelen en tafel bij een mooi onderhouden tuin. Dit vinden wij super... we eten dan ook heel graag buiten ??

Het restaurant. Zeer vriendelijke en positieve bediening! Medewerker dacht mee over gezond alternatief voor de kinderen (zou ook een verbeterpunten zijn,iets van spaghetti of iets anders relatiefs gezonds) en de schatkist waaruit de kinderen een cadeautjemochten kiezen viel erg in de smaak!

heel blij met het restaurant, lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening. De dame aan de receptie was vriendelijk. Wij (vooral de hond) hadden alleen wel last van vuurwerk in de omgeving maar daar kan het park niets aan doen

Receptie, Bo, zeer service gericht, fietsen geregeld, banden gepompt. Gekeken naar een thee kan en terug gereageerd, Top. Ook de andere receptie leden waren top.

First the good things: very polite staff (check-in, check-out, technical service) the living room's furniture was very chic and modern. So it was a positive eye catcher, same like the nice view out the window across the little pond with its fountain. Now coming to the things that should be improved: It seems we arrived at a season where there are not too many guests in the park. So we can understand that the house was not heated too much when we arrived. Unfortunately, heating the house properly took us a while, especially as the user panel was limited to a maximum temperature of 23C and had an offset of ~+3C compared to reality. As a consequence, we were cold the first three two to three days which is a pity thinking of a stay lasting only 5 days (so 50% of our time, it didn't feel too great being in the house). In addition, one bedsheet had a big hole inside which was very obvious and the toilet was missing the flush knob. This limited our customer satisfaction at arrival. Several outdoor lights of the house were defect. As the house was prepared for 5 people, we were disappointed about the accomodation of the bath room. There are only two hooks for some towels. No shelf or anything for tooth brush, shower gel or so. Last but not least, we had severe current fluctuations in our house which made the lights flickering all the time. Pretty annyoing and not relaxing.
