The Achterhoek is located in East Gelderland, and you can reach it from Utrecht in about an hour. The varied landscape features hedgerows, meadows, forests, and streams, making it a perfect spot for walking and cycling. You’ll pass estates, castles, and characteristic farms. The holiday home is located in a quiet area between Winterswijk and Aalten, along a rural road in the middle of nature with meadows and trees. It is wonderfully peaceful.

The Dream Villa is located on a countryside road between Aalten and Winterswijk. In the surrounding area, there are only a few other houses and farms, allowing you to enjoy your privacy here. Step into the cozy living room, where a snug wood stove, TV, and music box create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen with authentic AGA stove, large refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso and filter coffee maker, and kettle makes cooking a pleasure. At the large dining table, you can enjoy delicious meals with family and friends.
The handy utility room offers a washing machine, dryer, extra refrigerator, and freezer, so you have everything at hand. The cozy bedroom with a comfortable double bed and two single beds is perfect for families (Note: the beds are separated by a wall without a door.). The spacious en-suite bathroom features a shower, double sink, and toilet, so everyone can enjoy comfortably.On the first floor, there are three cozy bedrooms, each equipped with comfortable double box spring beds, providing you with the ultimate night’s rest. Enjoy a luxurious bathroom with a bath, a separate stylish shower, double sink, and toilet.
In the annex, you can enjoy the recreation room full of entertainment: lounge with TV, comfortable sofa, Xbox, American fridge, wood stove, and cozy table tennis and foosball - fun for young and old! Relax in the wellness area with Finnish sauna, invigorating shower, and modern fitness equipment for the ultimate relaxation after an active day. The first floor offers a spacious bedroom with four comfortable single beds and an en-suite bathroom, perfect for a good night's sleep.
The enclosed garden provides extra privacy and safety. Here you will find a cozy covered terrace with a spacious garden table, chairs, and a comfortable lounge sofa. For the children, there is a fun playground with swings, a climbing frame, and a trampoline, so everyone will never be bored. In the summer months (April 1 – October 1), you can enjoy the heated pool, complete with sun loungers. For BBQ lovers, there is a barbecue available (bring your own charcoal). In the evenings, you can make a campfire at the fire pit together, for a cozy end to a beautiful day.

From Utrecht, it is only 117 km to drive to this charming oasis, where tranquility, nature, and culture come together. Enjoy the beautiful landscape with forests, farms, and estates along the famous Achterhoek church paths. Walk or bike through the varied landscape, along the Slingeplas, the Grote Goor, and the Klooster. Many farms still show the colors of the past, a lovely detail that makes the region so special. Rent your bike at Hengeveld Bike Center, Wisselink Tweewielers, or Camping De Twee Bruggen and explore the area at your own pace. Just 7 km away lies the cozy center of Aalten, with nice shops and pleasant terraces. Want to cross the border? Germany is only 15 km away, with the historic city of Münster and the impressive Schloss Anholt.
For culture lovers, there is plenty to discover: the Villa Mondriaan museum in Winterswijk, Museum More in Gorssel with modern art, and the atmospheric Bredevoort, known as the 'Book Town' with monthly book markets and antiquarian shops.
