In the surrounding area there are good cycling and hiking trails that lead through a beautiful nature. Not far away is the nature area Skamlingsbanken. Not far from Hejlsminde are Skamlingsbanken, Christiansfeld (honey cake, tiled stoves and salami). Kolding also offers many experiences for children's families and art enthusiasts. For example, visit the museum Trapholt. There is also a play park, which is free. There is also a large shopping center in Kolding to stroll around. Kolding also hosts a game park where everything is free.
