Cozy holiday cabin by Lake Särkijärvi, located in Tikkala, Tohmajärvi. Lake Särkijärvi is exceptionally clear and abundant with fish, and it is part of the Natura 2000 network. Rainbow trout has even been stocked in the lake.

39 km to the southeast of Joensuu, Lake Särkijärvi 5 m (10.75 km²), sandy beach that starts shallow and deepens 2 m from the shore; at the end of the pier, the depth is approximately 1.5 m.

Holiday cabin, built in 1965 and fully renovated in 2023. The living room and bedroom both feature pull-out sofa beds, with an additional double bed in the bedroom alcove. Access from the bedroom to the bathroom and sauna, which has a wood-burning sauna stove. Terrace.

Tap water comes from the lake, but passes through a purification system and is drinkable. Wi-Fi is available via 4G. In the bathroom, there is a water pump whose sound can be heard in other rooms when water is drawn from the tap.

During the summer, 2 stand-up paddleboards and fishing rods are available, while in winter, there is an ice drill and ice-fishing gear.

From Tikkala School (address: Särkilahdentie 224), located 5.8 km away, there is a 1.6 km illuminated ski trail. Additionally, the village association maintains a 5-6 km ice-skating track from February onwards, depending on snow and ice conditions. Tikkala School also has a municipality-maintained skating rink (maintained until week 10).

Reservations start at 16:00 and end at 12:00 on the day of departure.
