Lagoon Ocean Resort: Type G

We stayed here 6 years ago and loved it so much that we're back again in 2025. Youri gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel at home the moment we arrived!

We rented the same corner unit with a panoramic view and private entry down the cliff to the ocean. To our pleasant surprise, some parts of the unit have been renovated, including changing the railing with glass panels on the second floor balcony so that we could take in the breathtaking view. The kitchen has been renovated and stocked with new pots and pans and anything you could think of to cook up a gourmet meal.

I could see from our villa when the local fishermen were returning to the beach, so I would just walk down and bought fresh fish from them, and cooked them at the unit.

Even though it was the most expensive rental in the complex, it was totally worth it. For that price, we enjoyed the best sunset view and the only private entrance to the ocean in the complex. I just jumped into the ocean and snorkeled in paradise while my husband lazed in our private nook at the multi-tiered platforms. There were lots of fish and live coral right in front of the villa, and it was a very short swim to the lagoon and the beach where the snorkeling was also amazing. I have gone to many beaches on the island, and the snorkeling right in front of our villa proved to be the best!

The only drawback is that more people this time climbed onto our diving platform and used it as their own, and sometimes coming up the stairs and onto our patio as if it's public property. Maybe a big private property sign right at the platform by the water would help deter trespassers.

We ate many times at the Bahia Restaurant many as the view was gorgeous and the food was great. We were usually tired by the end of the day, and that little shortcut from the resort to the restaurant was so convenient.

I must thank all the staff at Lagoon Ocean Resort and the Bahia Apartments & Diving for such a wonderful time. If we were to come back to Curacao again, this would definitely be our haven again!

Excellent location for beaches and snorkeling. A great place to unwind and relax.

Everything was really great. We haven't stayed in many vrbo properties so our expectations for certain things were maybe too high.

Pros: Staff and check-in were outstanding. Diamante was phenomenol!!! She helped us with so many questions. Location is beautiful and this home/condo is the best in this small community. It was very clean and the decks provided incredible views. We had very minor plumbing issues but were resolved quickly with the help of Diamante and the staff. Its quiet and off the beaten path. Two restaurants nearby and were very good.

Cons: I think we expected it to be more like a resort hotel. It would have been nice to have paper towels, beach towels, washer and dryer (you can send out for laundry services, which is convenient) and a bar of bath soap to get started. The pool is small but clean and very accessible. Hot water is is good for a 5-10 minute shower. There isn't a spa but we knew this going in and can drive to one nearby. There isn't a gym, which we also knew going in, but you can drive to a gym 10-15 minutes away.

Overall, very nice place and the location is INCREDIBLE with views that cannot be beat.

Lagun is beautiful and the facilities are made to accentuate that beauty. We would love to come back again someday soon!

We love this villa location. Out if the way and quiet, so easy to escape all the noise.

The ocean view villa was even more spectacular in person than in photos. It was hard to tell, but yes, there are two levels of balconies, three outdoor lounge areas and another three outdoor seating areas, clothe lines, outdoor fan and lighting. The views were breathtaking. The dishes were high quality and numerous, as were utensils, so very surprising there was only one small frying pan. Lots of ice cube trays. Hot, high pressured showers. Comfortable furniture with lots of areas to relax and enjoy the breeze and views. Working DVD player (couldn't get regular TV to work- maybe our own error). Several movies, lots of books and games. A/C cooled rooms quickly at night, especially the downstairs bedroom. Adequate linens, though beach towels would be a nice addition. Some windows were screened which was very nice.

The makeshift ladder from the jumping platform was a bit precarious, but we soooooo loved our private access to the ocean that we could overlook it. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful and accommodating. Dive shop was the same - great dive on house reef - so much to see, great equipment, safety conscious staff. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back!

Amazing house and view, good service, the staff very helpfull

The house was great. Very well equiped. Jaw dropping view. Very nice location in the northwest of Curaçao.

Amazing location. Super friendly and helpful. Internet was excellent in my townhouse. Could not ask for a better setup and sunsets. Diving center convenient. helpful, chill and really easy to work with. Excellent dive vacation.

The view from our suite was absolutely gorgeous. We could have spent the whole vacation just sitting out on the balcony looking at the ocean and had a wonderful time. We appreciated all of the amenities in the suite, including the full kitchen but also the little details like the cooler and ice packs that we were able to take to the beach with us one day and the tupperware storage containers that made it easy to take sandwiches and snacks to go. We loved being on the quieter side of the island and close to some of the nicest beaches. We enjoyed the convenience of eating at the restaurant a few times during our stay, and the food was very good! Overall, we had a lovely time staying at the Lagoon Ocean Resort and would certainly recommend it to friends.

The view, the house and the staff were very nice. Restaurant on site was very convenient. Jumping off the private stairs was amazing.

The view and location was beautiful. We truly relaxed and enjoyed during our stay. We will return in the near future.

Haus 13 mit fantastischer 270 Grad Aussicht aufs Meer und die Bucht. Privat-Treppe direkt ins Meer. Außendusche, Grill, mehrere Terrassen, viel Platz. Was will man mehr?!

Lagoon Ocean Resort ligt wat ons betreft op de mooiste en meest authentieke locatie op Curaçao. We zaten in een prachtig huis op de hoek van zee en baai. De verzorging, ontvangst en schoonmaak door Bahia was perfect. Heel erg vriendelijk en competent personeel. En last but not least: een geweldig restaurant bij Bahia, naast Lagoon gelegen. Kortom: absolute aanrader!!

Ligging aan prachtige baai, mooi om te snorkelen en te duiken. Goede duikschool. Relaxte sfeer.

Geweldig huis in een prachtig complex op wat ons betreft de mooiste plek op Curaçao (en we hebben ze vrijwel allemaal gezien). Vriendelijke, behulpzame en competente medewerkers die alles doen om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. We komen hier zeker weer terug!

Zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk ontvangen. Het is een prachtige plek. Misschien wel de mooiste plek van heel Curacao. Alles wordt perfect geregeld, zoals boodschappenpakket en autohuur. Ook het restaurant ligt op een prachtige plek met mooi uitzicht over de baai. En de leguanen komen uit je hand eten. Heel leuk!

Gastvrijheid is fantastisch, uitzicht vanuit alle zeezicht villa’s/appartementen adembenemend, zwembad heerlijk. Kortom pure verwennerij

waanzinnig mooie ligging. Privé steiger,mooi ruim huis. Gezellig restaurantje met uitzicht op de baai en de rondzwemmende schildpadden. Wij gaan zeker terugkomen.
